For decades, skiers and winter sports enthusiasts have followed the spectacularly beautiful route to Whistler, consistently rated the number one ski resort in North America. Now the Sea-to-Sky region is as popular with golfers as it is with the toque and goggles set.
Golfers are welcomed to Whistler by their first views of the Whistler Golf Club. Fittingly, the first championship course in the area was designed by Arnold Palmer, the King of Golf himself. His beautiful design that opened in 1982 has since been joined by three courses designed by three of the world´s leading golf architects turning Whistler into a golfer´s mecca that has no equal.
In 1993, on the benchlands at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, Robert Trent Jones Jr. created an alpine masterpiece. The Chateau Whistler Golf Club was immediately recognized as the best new course in Canada by the golf world´s bible, Golf Digest Magazine.
The following year, 25 minutes north of Whistler at Pemberton, award-winning architect, Bob Cupp's Big Sky Golf and Country Club was the runner-up for the prestigious honour.
To make the remarkable foursome complete, the Golf Digest recognized Nicklaus North Golf Course as the Best New Canadian Course in 1996. The addition of the only course in the world to bear the name of the finest golfer the game has known, Jack Nicklaus, confirmed the Sea-to-Sky region as one of the finest golf destinations in the world.

Exceeding the expectations of the most discriminating golfer, the Whistler Golf Club's 18-hole, par 72 course is challenging, yet offers enjoyment to players of every level.
Recent facility improvements include a stunning 4,800 sq. ft. clubhouse facility which houses a 50-seat dining room, outdoor patio, locker facilities, and a 1,350 sq. ft. pro shop stocked with the latest in quality golf attire and equipment.
The Whistler Golf Club offers a multi-faceted practice facility with driving range, practice bunker, pitching area and putting green. The practice facility pro shop offers the latest in golf accessories, club repair and custom club building. C.P.G.A. Teaching professionals are available for private lessons and drop-in clinics. In addition, on-course playing lessons and custom-designed group lessons or clinics are easily arranged for groups, conferences or corporations.
You won't find a better location for a golf school than the Whistler Golf Club. Both the course and the Practice and Teaching Facility are located in the heart of Whistler Village. Their Two Day Golf Schools feature expert instruction on the full swing, short game, trouble shots and course strategy, as well as on-course lessons, video analysis, breakfasts, lunches and evening receptions.

The Whistler Golf Club is the exclusive Canadian site for the Nike Golf Camps. The five-day resident junior camps provide all-day instruction and on-course play for juniors of all abilities. The three-day Nike Adult Camp and Parent/Child camp also provide a great opportunity to improve your game.
Lessons and Clinics for all levels
From private, to semi-private, to large groups, the CPGA Teaching Professionals will take your game to the next level. Whether you've never touched a club before or you're a low handicapper, the instructors will provide you with the skills and practice techniques to help you improve your game. Playing lessons are also available.
Drop-in Clinics
We provide daily drop-in clinics for Beginners, Intermediates, Juniors and Ladies Only. Our one-hour group clinics cover the Full Swing, Putting and Chipping, and the basic fundamentals for Beginners. Check the Practice and Teach Facility rate card for the Drop-In Schedule.
We also design custom golf school for dozens of individuals and corporate clients. Just tell us your needs and we´ll put together an event your clients and/or friends will never forget.

Carved out of the mountain slopes at the base of Blackcomb, the Chateau Whistler Golf Club has an elevation gain of more than 400 feet. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., this par 72 course traverses rushing mountain streams and features spectacular views.
Golfers can now enjoy the newly installed complimentary ProShot Satellite Yardage System, a computer aided "satellite caddy" on board every cart. Accurate within one yard, the information provided includes yardage from the cart to the middle of the green, distance to and over hazards, as well as basic information traditionally supplied by a caddy. This system not only helps the golfer make good decisions, but also increases pace of play, as it eliminates the need to search for yardage markers.
The Chateau Whistler and Chateau Whistler Golf Club are fully equipped to handle both large group functions and casual apres-golf dining. The facility features a complete restaurant and lounge area with patio, a pro shop and locker rooms.
The Chateau Whistler Golf Club was awarded "Canada's Best New Golf Course for 1993" by Golf Digest Magazine. The magazine continued their recognition and gave Chateau Whistler "4 1/2 stars for 1996 and 1997," which is a must play rating. 1997 will also be known as the year when the Chateau Whistler Golf Club was introduced as a member to the "Great Golf Resorts of the World" and also honoured with the coveted "Gold Medal Award" by Golf Magazine.

Located in a tranquil valley, below the towering Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, alongside the shores of Green Lake, Nicklaus North is located in the most majestic of settings. Five minutes from Whistler Village, Nicklaus North is a par 71 course that winds alongside glacier fed Green Lake. From five sets of tees, it is the perfect combination of excitement and enjoyment. The environmentally-conscious project was designed and completed with an awareness and sensitivity toward the area's natural habitat.
Nicklaus North is only the second Canadian course designed by Jack Nicklaus and, of the 150 courses he´s designed worldwide, this is the only course to which Jack has been compelled to add his name.
Nicklaus North Golf Course has been awarded 1997's Golf Facility of the Year by the Professional Golf Association of British Columbia, the BCPGA. This is the highest distinction available on a provincial level. To add to this special award, Nicklaus North was selected as Golf Digest's Best New Canadian Course for 1996.
In addition to receiving these prestigious awards, Nicklaus North was selected to host the 1997 Export “A” Skins Game, hosting four of golf's greatest names: Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Fred Couples and Jack Nicklaus.
Nicklaus North features a variety of terrain and distinctive Nicklaus bunkering. The course is situated on relatively level land which makes it a very walkable layout.
This course is home to a practice facility, including a driving range with grass tees and an expansive practice putting green. Nicklaus North´s impressive 15,000 square foot clubhouse houses a golf shop, restaurant and lounge, overlooking awe-inspiring Green Lake.

Tucked beside the massive Mount Currie, Big Sky is an outstanding 18 hole golf experience with 350 degree mountain views. Designed by Robert Cupp, Big Sky features bent grass on tees, fairways and greens, providing the finest golf course conditioning.
Whether learning the game for the first time or just in need of a tune-up, golfers will love the Big Sky Golf Academy. Two full-length practice holes, seven practice bunkers, three chipping and putting greens, and a grass tee driving range give golfers the opportunity to improve in a game-like atmosphere. From May through September, the Academy offers two and three day golf schools guaranteed to improve your game.
Big Sky Golf and Country Club was rated runner up for Canada's Best New Course - Golf Digest 1994 ratings.
