Winter Activities

Home to the 2010 Winter Olympics and voted the best ski resort in North America for 13 years running, Whistler Blackcomb offers some of the most enjoyable and challenging winter sports there are.

Downhill skiing and snowboarding

BikingOnce the snow begins to fall, our relationship with Summit Sports switches from mountain biking to skiing and snowboarding and allows you exclusive deals on equipment rental, lessons and services. Enjoy Whistler’s average snowfall of more than 10 metres, its 8,100 acres of terrain and more than 200 trails, ranging from beginner to advanced. A lift capacity of more than 65,000 skiers per hour means you’ll never have to wait too long to get back up the hill.

Cross country skiing

Thanks to our partnership with Cross Country Connection, we can help you arrange everything you need to enjoy the sport of cross-country skiing. Beginners can book lessons while more experienced skiers can enjoy tours of the local area.

Snowmobiling

If, like us, you love the snow and anything with an engine, then a snowmobile experience will be right up your street (or piste…) We can arrange anything from a kid’s starter experience to guides tours and trips towards the summit of the mountain, for more experienced riders.

Dog sledding

If you fancy a wind-in-the-hair ride just inches off the ground, then a trip on a dog sled will blow the cobwebs away. A team of Alaskan Huskies whisks you and your sled across the snow for an unforgettable ride.

Sleigh rides

If the idea of a dog sled ride appeals but you would prefer a more sedate pace, then a horse-drawn sleigh ride could you for you. Choose from a variety of routes and even enjoy an entertainment show or dinner as part of your experience.

Ice skating

Practice your ‘Blades of Glory’ moves on Whistler’s public ice skating rink, located at the Meadow Park Sports Centre. You can also take a swim, enjoy a game of squash or even work-out if you haven’t done enough exercise already.
